ABOUT ME

My name is Maud House, and I am a senior at Southern Methodist University. I am double-majoring in journalism and fashion media and double-minoring in Spanish and advertising. I have loved to write since I was young and am always curious to hear about what is happening in our world. Being able to communicate proficiently in Spanish is something I appreciate greatly and find very valuable.

In addition to this passion for writing and communication, I also am very interested in real estate. I combine my academic background in communications and advertising with my knowledge about real estate and finance to any real estate company.

I enjoy writing about a variety of subjects including politics, athletics, mental health, and real estate. I have written articles for my classes, the SMU student-led newspaper, and internships at commercial real estate companies. I also have a solid foundation in multimedia production including audio and video storytelling.

 

In 2022, I was a member of the art team of SMU LOOK, a student-led fashion magazine, where I helped create the visual aesthetic of the magazine. I also played on the SMU Women's Club Lacrosse team.

 

I am from Mill Valley, California, and came to SMU because I wanted to experience a different part of the country. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, surfing, cooking, trying new restaurants, spending time with my family and friends, and walking my French bulldog, Buster.
